The position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a German speaking Quality Control Manager to join the QC department of our multinational Design agency specialising in own label packaging design, for an international client team, based in Purley, Surrey.

This is an additional role due to expansion and as Quality Control Manager you will be responsible for the complete quality control checking procedure of artwork and text for German Language food and non-food packaging. You will inspect all aspects of the design, layout, font and colours against existing Brand Guidelines. You will need extremely high levels of precision and a keen eye for detail.

Skills and Experience

You must be fluent in spoken and written German.

To be successful in the role you will need to possess extremely high levels of precision.

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills as you will feedback to internal account managers and artworkers on all aspects of the design and be able to concisely advise on any required amendments.

You are self-motivated, highly organised, able to manage conflicting time-lines and meet constant deadlines, coupled with a passion for building strong working relationships.

If you are creative you may also have the opportunity to develop involvement in packaging design and artwork depending on your skills.

Experience with packaging design and a good knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign would be highly advantageous but are not essential.

You will possess a degree ideally in design, artwork or languages.

This role may suit someone who has a background in translation, proof reading, quality control, packaging design or artwork. Whatever your working background full training will be provided.
